Job description

This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.


Role Purpose:

The Operational Risk Analyst supports the 1st line of defence by enhancing the banks approach to identifying, managing and reporting operational risks. The role provides vital oversight of operational risk events, develops and maintains operational risk reporting into governance committees and assists in the embedding of effective key control environments. The role holder will also contribute to development of assurance processes across Operational Risk, Operational Resilience and Outsourcing & Third-Party Management within the first line.


Responsibilities:

Operational Risk Reporting

  1. Produce high quality operational risk reports and dashboards for key governance committees
  2. Identify trends, emerging risks and areas requiring management attention across the business
  3. Assist in the design and implementation of key control and risk indicators

Incident management

  1. Log, track and monitor operational incidents to ensure timely resolution and appropriate root cause analysis
  2. Support the business in identifying and implementing appropriate corrective and preventative actions through a lesson learnt process

Operational Resilience

  1. Assist the Operational Resilience Manager with the execution of operational resilience testing
  2. Support with the analysis of test results and tracking/reporting of remedial actions

Third Party & Outsourcing

  1. Assist the Third-Party Supplier Manager reporting on third party risks and dependencies for key services, including incidents and control performance

Risk and Control Framework

  1. Support the business units in evidencing control effectiveness and identifying gaps
  2. Support business units in completing risk and key control assessments

Risk Management System

  1. Utilise the banks Risk Management System to drive consistent reporting and MI

Skills and Experience sought:

  1. Experience in an Operational Risk or control role
  2. Demonstrated experience in preparing risk reports or dashboards for senior stakeholders or governance committees
  3. Familiarity with risk and key control assessment processes
  4. Comfortable working with risk systems, data sets and different tools
