Job title: Operational Finance Analyst

Are you a commercially minded number–cruncher with a passion for driving efficiency and financial clarity? We're working with a leading logistics and freight forwarding business that's looking for an Operational Finance Analyst to join their growing team and make a real impact.

You'll work across departments, analysing performance vs. forecasts, supporting cost control, and helping streamline financial processes. This is a hands–on role for someone who loves digging into data, improving systems, and influencing business decisions from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

1. Analysing actuals vs. budgeted figures at customer and trade level, working closely with procurement
2. Reviewing variances, reserves, and cost trends, and providing actionable recommendations
3. Enforcing internal processes and helping departments improve costing accuracy
4. Collaborating with teams to enhance SOPs, support rollouts, and ensure data integrity
5. Assisting with automated accounting processes to improve productivity
6. Keeping rates and financial data current and accurate across internal systems

Requirements:

1. Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain finance (preferred)
2. Strong Excel skills and confidence with financial data
3. Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
4. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
5. Proactive attitude and the ability to work across multiple departments
