Job description

BECOME THE BACKBONE OF MY CLIENT'S GROWING BUSINESS
Are you the detail-focused professional that others rely on to make things happen?
Do you thrive when given responsibility for complex systems that others might shy away from?

My client is looking for an exceptional Operational Assistant to become the right-hand support to their Operations Director in a thriving manufacturing business with ambitious growth plans.

Based in Norwich, this position offers an attractive salary package commensurate with experience. You'll be joining at an exciting time as they prepare to double their operations over the next two years, with a focus on precision quality and excellence.

This isn't just an administrative role – it's a chance to become an integral part of their operational backbone, ensuring compliance, quality and efficiency across the business. With ISO certifications already achieved and a third in progress, you'll play a key role in maintaining and developing their quality management systems.

The ideal candidate will have a methodical approach to work, exceptional attention to detail, and a genuine passion for continuous improvement. You'll need to remain focused on the essential foundations that keep their business running smoothly, rather than being distracted by the more glamorous aspects of operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily operational tasks and ensuring smooth workflow
  • Conducting and assisting with detailed risk assessments
  • Maintaining documentation for ISO audits and quality control
  • Preparing shipping documents including customs declarations
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements
  • Supporting health, safety and environmental compliance

You'll have a logical mind with strong analytical abilities, enabling you to perform root cause analysis and solve complex operational problems. Experience with ISO standards, logistics, or customs procedures would be highly advantageous, but more important is your eagerness to learn and genuine commitment to excellence.

If you're someone who takes pride in creating robust systems, has aspirations to grow professionally, and wants to be part of a forward-thinking on-site team where your contribution truly matters – I want to hear from you.
