Job description

Salary is up to £31,000 (Actual 1 on 3 off) + £7,500 Relocation Allowance + Vehicle + Accommodation.

Shaping the future - Support our community

We are proud to serve our rural farming community, and we aim to support our pedigree beef and sheep farmers at the times they need us most. Supporting 2 of our practices in Moray, you will join our Farm 24 team, helping us provide seamless and sustainable 24-hour cover to our clients and their businesses. Our aim is to turn the traditional on-call rota on its head by allowing our daytime Vets more time to focus on the routine cases and OOH vets will help provide balance and focus on night-time and weekend emergencies.

An exciting and diverse emergency caseload

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident in farm and equine emergencies to continue to develop our service. You will gain significant exposure to surgical obstetrics, so this is a great opportunity for those surgically minded individuals. Developing relationships with clients and the local veterinary teams is essential, as is the ability to problem solve and work on your own. You will be on-call from the comfort of your own home (if you live locally) or within our included accommodation, attending emergencies as and when needed. You will receive the perfect blend of pace with a higher number of calls during spring but quiet spells during the summer months allowing you to really maximise your downtime. Keith is the central point of the geographical area covered.

Work life balance - one week on, three weeks off

Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, and with this role you will enjoy three weeks off every four weeks to explore your interests, climb the Munros, travel the famous North Coast 500, canoe the river Spey, or simply relax and recharge. Rota patterns would consist of working from 6pm to 8am Monday to Sunday. With a shared one-week-on, three-weeks-off rota, you'll have flexibility and freedom.

Support our wider farm and equine team and become an integral part of our emergency response team, where your contributions truly make a difference! We are delighted to help with visa expenses and relocation costs of up to £7,500 for this position.
