On Site Support Manager - Recruitment
We are a successful driver recruitment agency seeking the services of an enthusiastic On Site Support Manager to help us deliver the staffing requirements of a key client based in Iver near Slough.
The client is well established and has grown to become the UK's largest drainage contractor, playing a key role in supporting the country's water management strategy.
The Role
After an initial period of training at our head office in Potters Bar, you will be permanently based on site at our client's transport hub in Iver. As On Site Support Manager, you will play a key role supporting the agency account team to manage our agency workers and the relationship with our clients on site.
The role will also include the following responsibilities:
- Become the point of contact on site for drivers, workers, and the client team.
- Recruiting and interviewing water tanker drivers.
- Arranging inductions and training for new starters.
- Overseeing site registration and compliance processes.
- Working closely with client staff to ensure agency workers are properly briefed and adhere to required safety standards.
- Working closely with client staff to ensure any issues are dealt with quickly.
- Planning and ensuring workers turn up, go out to jobs and complete shifts satisfactorily when required.
- Managing and maintaining good worker discipline in a fair and diverse manner.
- Resolving staff/client issues in a fair and objective manner.
- Visiting other client sites or waterboard locations to establish client requirements and develop allocation plans to supply drivers, engineers, etc., to these sites too.
Requirements
- Ideally an assertive person who has good leadership skills and an ability to manage a diverse and enthusiastic team of workers.
- Previous account management, recruitment, or shop floor/foreman/Site Manager experience will be advantageous.
- Must be good at problem solving or thinking on your feet, often within a high-pressure environment.
- Must enjoy working with and looking after clients' needs.
- Good communication skills (written and oral) and a good knowledge of IT including experience of working with spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills.
- Must have regular access to or own a car for site visits - you will be offered an excellent mileage rate for the use of your car.
- Willingness to work the odd weekend.
Rates and Work Hours
£35,000 to £40,000 per annum plus paid annual leave and bonuses.
Work Hours - 5:30am to 2:30pm
Work any 5 out of 7 days per week including some weekends.
