Offshore Structural FEA Engineer

Location: London

Contract Duration: 12-Month Contract

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct structural analysis using Finite Element software (ABAQUS/ANSYS).
2. Perform detailed stress analysis of offshore structures.
3. Utilise structural analysis tools (SACS, STAAD, GT-STRUDL).
4. Execute design calculations per industry codes (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC, Norsok).
5. Review and approve structural drawings.
6. Prepare high-quality design reports and maintain records.
7. Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Requirements:

1. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work within a team.
2. Experience in offshore structure design (oil & gas/wind).
3. Knowledge of offshore wind foundation design practices.
4. Familiarity with offshore wind regulations, codes, and standards.
5. Understanding of fatigue assessment methods (time domain, spectral, deterministic).
6. Experience with advanced structural problem-solving techniques.
7. Programming skills (Python, C) are a plus.
