Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for an Offshore Maintenance Scheduler (onshore). Based in Aberdeen, the role is on a 12 month contract and offers hybrid working.


ROLE

Onshore based role working closely with the Maintenance Delivery Team to ensure safe and cost-effective maintenance and responsive breakdown maintenance of plant and equipment via robust application of Work Management Processes. Shares responsibility with rest of the Maintenance Delivery Team for meeting clearly defined Maintenance KPI's. The Scheduler role is essential to ensuring that asset activities are scheduled for completion by their due date. It requires prioritizing work for the execution schedule and matching the capacities of resources and services to the work. The integrated schedules reflect the integration of all functions, Preventive (PM) and Corrective (CM) maintenance, and consider 3M, 4W and Frozen 7D schedules.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Engage and establish commitment from the asset leadership to collaboratively promote the application of Work Management processes.
  2. Maintain a clear overview of the volume of prepared corrective maintenance backlog and prioritize when to bring the work into the schedule for execution.
  3. Formalised and specific feedback to Leadership on Maintenance Delivery Team's application of the 6 x Work Management Processes in support of continuous improvement.
  4. Formalised and specific feedback to Leadership on Maintenance Delivery Team's use of SAP in support of continuous improvement.
  5. Champion adherence to the Work Management Governance Structure, ensuring the following process-critical Work Management meetings are scheduled, appropriately attended and structured in accordance with defined Terms of Reference:
  6. Daily YTT/Validation Meeting
  7. Weekly Measures Meeting
  8. Weekly Schedule Review Meeting
  9. Day-to-day assistance and on-hand support to process users.
  10. Act as the conduit between Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Team Lead and Lead Technician to ensure all are aligned on maintenance planning, scheduling and execution.
  11. Work cohesively with the Asset Planning Lead and Planner to drive improvements within activity planning and scheduling.
  12. With effective Work Management in mind, develop a close working relationship with Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Team Lead, providing daily support in delivery of the following:
  13. Collective understanding of the available maintenance, supporting trade resources per discipline and alignment to the schedule.
  14. Ensure that the plan is executed efficiently and in a timely manner so that optimum availability of operational plant and the available labour resources are achieved.
  15. Ensure priority work is controlled in accordance with Company Policy and that the plan is managed to accommodate these priorities.
  16. Collective understanding of the available resource per discipline and alignment to the schedule.
  17. Work closely with MTL and Technicians to understand job requirements and priorities.
  18. Ensure that maintenance activities are scheduled for completion by their due date.
  19. Group Work Orders appropriately in order to optimise execution.
  20. Prioritise work for site execution and matching the capacities of resources and services to the work.
  21. Ensure the Schedule reflects the integration of both Preventive (PM) and Corrective (CM) maintenance and continually maintains an overview of executable dates to ensure work is scheduled when there are resources and access available.
  22. Arrange and run daily and weekly Scheduling meetings, ensuring that appropriate input to schedule has been sought, with OIM / Terminal Manager agreement and sign-off as appropriately prioritised and achievable.
  23. Publish and communicate schedules and ensure all effected parties are notified.
  24. With effective Work Management in mind, develop a close working relationship with the Lead Technician, providing daily support in delivery of the following:
  25. To increase efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance function.
  26. Develop maintenance job plans and prepare them for scheduling and execution. Includes predictive, corrective and planned maintenance jobs, and minor modification construction jobs.
  27. Develop and maintain long- and short-term maintenance schedules in conjunction with operations. Includes scheduling of Shutdown work.
  28. Work closely with Operations and Maintenance Lead Technicians to understand job requirements and priorities.
  29. Develop job schedules in conjunction with operations and other customers.
  30. Attempt to minimise schedule disruptions and facilitate longer term scheduling horizons.
  31. Arrange and run the Daily and Weekly Scheduling meetings.
  32. Co-ordinate numerous jobs and their required equipment, tool, parts, access requirements and personnel availability (including operations). Level resources.
  33. Assign people to jobs during finalisation of the daily schedule.
  34. Communicate job schedules and ensure that all affected parties are notified.
  35. Manage job schedules using scheduling software - SAP and non SAP.
  36. Perform similar tasks for Shutdown jobs.
  37. Group work orders (same equipment or area) to make the execution step more efficient.
  38. Develop job plans per specified standards.
  39. Work closely with the planner to ensure seamless transition of activities through the 3M and 4W time horizons.
  40. Keep appraised of 90-day plans, particularly in relation to equipment stops, outages and shutdowns.
  41. Prepare draft frozen schedule on basis of resource availability, task contents, operational constraints and corrective work order priorities.
  42. Provide input into 3M and 4W planning meetings with regards to trade resource availability.
  43. Promotes a positive Incident Free Workplace culture by driving HSES and process safety performance and regulatory compliance through adherence to company standards & procedures, including the CMAPP and HSES Policy.
  44. Perform nominated emergency response role/duties and maintain the necessary competencies to perform these duties.

Education

  1. An industry background and experience of working in a trade discipline is an advantage.
  2. HNC/HND in an engineering discipline is desirable but not essential, preferably Mechanical / electrical or instrumentation.

Work Experience

  1. Previous demonstrable experience in the application of a similar Work Management and SAP process and all of its component parts, such as: Work Preparation, Scheduling and Execution Process Guides, Maintenance KPI Dashboard, Maintenance Prioritisation Matrix, SAP Optimization for Work Preparation, Scheduling and Execution activities through the use of Prometheus GWOS Work Preparation & Work Execution.
  2. Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices and principles.
  3. Skill in the use of scheduling tools such as Prometheus GWOS and SAP scheduling module.
  4. Experience in the use of Primavera would be an advantage.
  5. Effective communication with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  6. Ability to interface and network effectively within the discipline and with other disciplines across a wide range of organisational boundaries (Maintenance and Integrity line, Production, Supply Chain etc.).
  7. Skill in assessing and prioritizing work based on critical systems and equipment requirements, project commitments, age of work orders, resource availability, and customer satisfaction.
  8. Must be willing to travel to onshore and offshore assets for occasional site visits, as required.

Certifications

Valid BOSIET and MIST certification. Mandatory Training required Specify Competence Assurance where appropriate.
