Offshore Installation Manager – Export Cable

Role Definition

Aventa is seeking, on behalf of our client—a leading developer in the offshore renewable energy sector—a Senior Offshore Installation Engineer to join their Construction Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a team of skilled engineers on the Hornsea Four Windfarm Project, contributing to one of the most significant offshore wind developments in the region.

Job Description:

1. Analyze, recommend and optimise offshore installation, logistics concepts and installation procedures prior to and during installation.
2. Prepare technical invitation-to-tender documents.
3. In cooperation with Package and Contract manager; tender, negotiate and recommend installation contracts incl. MWS.
4. Manage offshore installation contractor and MWS incl. cross discipline cooperation within the project team.
5. Ensure contractor’s delivery and own review of method statements and risk assessments.
6. Set up and implement HAZID/HAZOP for installation design / offshore installation operations.
7. Provide progress reports to PM for all managed contracts incl. all significant technical risks, and develop contingency plans.
8. Supervise and approve trialing, tool development, loading and vessel setup.
9. Supervise installation campaign initiation offshore.
10. Manage Client’s Representatives and QA Daily Progress Report.
11. Create, monitor and control execution of Design Quality (Reporting) and QAS and align input from Supplier quality.
12. Management of product NCR.
13. Review of method statements from Supplier.
14. Review of product and as-built documentation during AP execution phase.

Requirements:

• We need an experienced person preferably with knowledge of Ørsted.
• Knowledge of Export cable installation including landfall.
• Knowledge of cable load out.
• Knowledge of cable laying.
• Knowledge of cable pulling.
• Knowledge of cable protection systems.
