Job description

We’re looking for an Offshore Field Service Technician based in the Inverness or Aberdeen area as this role be Scotland based.

  • Offshore - you will be on a 2- or 3-week rotation (working 12-hour shifts)

  • Onshore – 40 hours per week after rest period (Monday – Friday) supporting depot and field activities

What you’ll do:

  • A service per SWI

  • B service as per SWI

  • Be able to carry out control equipment replacement and parameter change

  • Multi generator synchronizing, servicing and maintenance

  • Minor and major repair of all fleet

QHSE

  • LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) used

  • Reports all near misses and any incidents

  • Up to date on all QHSE topics

  • Complies with PPE and site rules

The duties described above cover the focus of the role; however, from time to time you may be required to carry out any other duties which are reasonable and within your abilities to support other areas of the business.

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Technical capability (power and ideally electrical)

  • A City and Guilds/ONC level 3 qualification or equivalent (Mechanical and or Electrical)

  • Standard offshore certification (BOSIET/MIST/Medical etc)

  • Good organisational & communication skills

  • Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications

  • Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards

  • Able to manage a client’s expectations when under pressure, regardless of the situation

  • Must hold a full, clean and valid driving licence

  • Must be able to work out of hours as and when required, and support with on call occasionally.
