The role

As an Office Supervisor, you will support the Operations Manager in all depot functions. You will train new starters and cover various office job roles. You will be responsible for effectively and accurately utilising TOS, ensuring all containers are accounted for, and that valid billing details are in place. You will have daily communications with key customers regarding stock availability and requirements. You will manage a small team of office staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Deputise for Operations Manager.
  • Ensure container handling activities are monitored & fully reflective of customer requirements. Report issues to relevant team Managers accordingly to ensure efficient / smooth operations, whilst in constant pursuit of improvements.
  • Act as the focal point for all customer enquiries.
  • Ensure all Depot accidents, incidents, claims are reported and investigated.
  • Ensure the Depot meets the regulatory inspection requirements for equipment i.e. extinguisher servicing, PAT, lifting equipment etc.
  • Cover every office job role (Maintenance & Repair, Reefer, Terminal Coordinator).
  • Ensure Depot risk assessments are reviewed and updated by the relevant persons, ensuring employee involvement.
  • Manage and support a small team of office staff, including absence management, performance reviews, training.
  • Handle facility management tasks.

Requirements:

  • Excellent People Management skills.

  • Container industry experience preferred, but not required.
