Job Description:

Position: Office Manager / Legal Assistant

Location: St Pauls, London

Salary: Up to £36,000

My client, a boutique law firm in London, is seeking a highly organised Office Manager / Legal Assistant to provide essential support to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a legal secretarial or business services background to take on a key role within a dynamic and close-knit environment.

The Role:

As the Office Manager / Legal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the firm while also providing direct support to a team of five fee earners. This varied position requires someone who thrives in a dual role, combining office management responsibilities with high-level legal administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Office Management: Overseeing office operations, managing suppliers, handling facilities duties, and ensuring a well-functioning work environment.
  • Legal Support: Providing administrative and secretarial assistance to fee earners, including document preparation, diary management, and correspondence.
  • Compliance & Billing: Assisting with regulatory requirements, client onboarding, and invoice processing.
  • Point of Contact: Handling office-related queries and liaising with external stakeholders.

About You:

  • 3+ years’ experience in an Office Manager or Legal Assistant role within a small or mid-sized law firm.
  • Background in legal OR business services secretarial work.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in dealing with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with a proactive, problem-solving approach.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a broad and impactful role within a well-established small firm, where your contributions will be highly valued.
