Slalom is seeking an Office Specialist to join our Manchester Team. We are looking for an individual with demonstrated professionalism, meticulous attention to detail and creative problem solving. They will understand the importance of the little things and the big differences they make. They will be a key contributor in supporting our Slalom culture and our core values. They will be a key partner in driving of office culture, atmosphere and energy within our busy office.

Primary areas of responsibility will include:

Managing the day-to-day operations of the office, providing excellent customer service to all visitors, clients, candidates and officemates, and ensuring the maintenance of a pleasant working environment. In addition to these core areas, the Office Coordinator will be integral to the delivery of all Slalom internal events.

Detailed responsibilities may include any of the following, depending on the needs of the team:

Office Operations

• Drive office culture with a creative, fun and inspiring approach to daily operations.
• Keep all common office areas organised, clean and ready for employees to work.
• Communicate with the Office manager, property management, employees and vendors regarding facility-related asks and issues.
• Ensure the office is ready to welcome guests and client teams.
• Maintain and upkeep all working areas of the office including conference rooms, desks and monitors.
• Serve as Slalom’s gatekeeper for office inquiries.
• Work with the OM to ensure high levels of AV support across the needs of the office.
• Accommodate visitor and employee requests such as conference room setup, printing meeting materials, setup of workshops, catering, etc.
• Greet new hires, candidates, employees, clients and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Liaise with business leaders, operations teams and departments to be armed with up-to-date information for on-demand questions and requests.

Internal Events

Help to deliver Slalom events including:

• Space readiness
• AV and room set up
• Administrative events tasks (nametags, supply ordering, etc.)
• Caterer sourcing and delivery
• Logistics leading up to event
• Day of operations and execution of event

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and a passion for excellent customer service.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in delivery of events.
• Self-starter with the willingness to take action and find opportunities to support.
• Strong technology skills, and the proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Microsoft outlook and MS Teams experience.
• Experience with office audio / video conference equipment.
