Job description

Firm

gunnercooke is a Top 75 law firm recognised by over 80 industry awards. Launched in 2010, the firm has rapidly grown to over 500 lawyers across 14 global offices in the UK, US, Germany and Austria. Our breadth of expertise covers some of the most interesting and important emerging disciplines, from ESG and charity law, to blockchain and competition.

Collaboration is at the forefront of our award-winning culture and is what sets our firm apart from the rest. gunnercooke operates as a fee share model meaning our professionals join as self-employed advisors, free to design and develop the practice they’ve always wanted. Our firm brings together the most ambitious and commercially-minded people, who build and work in dynamic teams of their choosing, to best suit their clients’ needs.

Our purpose is simple; to deliver a positive impact for our clients, provide a better life for our people and to leave a better world than we found. Our charitable arm, the gunnercooke foundation, enables us to directly engage with communities on social issues and to help charitable organisations grow.

Team

We are a highly successful and fast-growing litigation team, seeking an Office Coordinator to help us on the next stage of our journey as a business.

Our team of six lawyers, including two young trainees and one paralegal, need a highly organised and motivated administrator to help us drive efficiency through the business by improving and implementing processes.

This is an opportunity to join a vibrant, collaborative team that values camaraderie and enjoys regular social activities, including well-being sessions and after-work gatherings; and to work in a brand new, modern office space in the centre of Bristol.

You will have already gained some administrative experience in a fast-paced environment and are now ready to progress and grow your skillset: this role offers the potential to learn skills and gain experience in the fields of office/process management and revenue control.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing day-to-day office operations, acting as the primary contact for office-related needs and ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Arranging meeting spaces, ensuring they are well-equipped and organised; taking attendance notes.
  • Organising social events and team-building activities to promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Coordinating travel bookings and logistics; booking training courses and seminars.
  • Processing client and supplier invoices and keeping accurate records of payments and receipts.
  • Processing employee expense claims and organising payment.
  • Providing general administrative support, including financial record updates, calendar management, and assisting senior management with various tasks.
  • Keeping accurate records of supplier costs.
  • Process improvement, implementation and management.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as an Office Administrator/Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • A desire to develop professionally and increase your skillset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • First-rate administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Able to follow processes and work on your own initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Accurate record keeping skills.
  • The right to work in the UK.

You may also:

  • Be passionate about improving processes to increase efficiency.
  • Love keeping things in order!
  • Be someone who consistently sets themselves high standards.

In return, we will offer:

  • Staff benefits including:
  • Excellent private health insurance.
  • Weekly wellbeing hour.
  • Generous holiday allowance.
  • A great working environment in brand new, bright and airy offices with a dynamic and enthusiastic team.
  • Access to training to help you develop professionally.

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
