Job description

Summary:

  3. Job Type: Contract/Travel.
  4. Location: North Cape May, NJ.
  5. Start Date: ASAP.
  6. Duration: 13 weeks.
  7. Schedule: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, 08:00 AM-04:30 PM.
  8. Rate: Travel: $1,950/35-hours; Local: $1,918/35-hours.

Requirements:

  1. Valid and active Occupational Therapy Assistant State license.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients to identify their physical and functional limitations.
  2. Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  3. Carry out interventions and activities to enhance patients' motor skills, mobility, and daily independence.
  4. Educate patients on the proper use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment to enhance their functional abilities.
  5. Keep precise and up-to-date patient records, noting progress, treatments, and condition changes.
  6. Offer patients and families guidance and training for at-home exercises to aid their ongoing recovery.
  7. Maintain communication with the Occupational Therapist and the healthcare team for coordinated patient care.
  8. Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, ensuring a safe therapy environment for patients.
  9. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients as they work towards achieving their therapeutic goals.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
