Requirements:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapy Assistant State license.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients to identify their physical and functional limitations.
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Carry out interventions and activities to enhance patients' motor skills, mobility, and daily independence.
- Educate patients on the proper use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment to enhance their functional abilities.
- Keep precise and up-to-date patient records, noting progress, treatments, and condition changes.
- Offer patients and families guidance and training for at-home exercises to aid their ongoing recovery.
- Maintain communication with the Occupational Therapist and the healthcare team for coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, ensuring a safe therapy environment for patients.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients as they work towards achieving their therapeutic goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
