What you will do:

1. Communicate effectively with a range of clinicians, managers, directors, people who access services, carers, supporters, families, stakeholders, and agencies
2. Provide compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff including support staff and assistants
3. Ensure the delivery of occupational therapy student placements
4. Support the completion of appraisals and personal development plans with junior staff
5. Be responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate policies, protocols, and care pathways

To be a successful Occupational Therapist you will need:

1. Occupational Therapy profession qualification
2. Relevant clinical experience with adults who have complex needs
3. Experience applying occupational frames of reference and approaches
4. Evidence of highly effective clinical reasoning skills
5. Knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models
6. Knowledge of working with individuals with mental illness
