An exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic and innovative Occupational Health Technicians to support the SHWB team with the delivery of effective high-quality Occupational Health and Wellbeing services to the staff here at MKUH.
As an Occupational Health Technician, you will undertake a wide range of learned skills; this will be performed under the direct and indirect supervision of a suitably qualified Occupational Health Nurse (OHN).
Knowledge and experience of Occupational Health is desirable for this role; however, full training will be provided. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in all aspects of holistic wellbeing as this is an integral part of this role.
The role of the Occupational Health Technician is to support the delivery of high-quality occupational health services to employees and external clients, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
The Occupational Health Technician has a breadth of knowledge and is able to provide holistic support to staff and clients utilizing a biopsychosocial model. The Occupational Health Technician works independently and manages their own caseload, including conducting health assessments, screenings, and supporting the development and implementation of health policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of employees.
Integral to this role is the ability to communicate effectively in a sensitive and compassionate manner, maintaining client confidentiality and escalating or referring to the registered professional effectively. The Occupational Health Technician must focus on maintaining the health and well-being of all staff groups within the organization and within external customer organizations.
