We are seeking two highly motivated and skilled Office 365 Support technicians to join our IT support team. These roles are focused on providing technical support and assistance for the deployment and configuration of Office 365 and its associated products to the trust.

The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Office 365, along with a strong understanding of its integration with other Microsoft products and services. This position requires the ability to troubleshoot issues, assist in user training, and ensure that Office 365 services run smoothly for all users.

Main duties of the job

  • To focus on optimising and deploying Microsoft 365 features, including Office, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Assist the first- & second-line support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Office 365 applications, user accounts, permissions, and other O365 components.
  • Provide technical support for end-users regarding Office 365 products and services.
  • Provide users with in-person and remote training and guidance on best practices for Office 365 apps, collaboration tools, and cloud storage.
  • Evaluate and optimise other IT services within the hospital, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and improving overall service delivery.

Job responsibilities

1. Office 365 Deployment & Support:

  • Assist in the rollout and migration of Office 365 services across the organization, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy office products.
  • Configure and manage Office 365, including user accounts, licensing, and permissions.
  • Support the installation and configuration of Office 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) on client devices (Windows, iOS, Android).
  • Assisting in the rollout and migration of SharePoint & OneDrive

2. User Support & Training:

  • Provide technical support for end-users regarding Office 365 products and services.
  • Offer training and guidance to users on best practices for Office 365 apps, collaboration tools, and cloud storage, In-person and remote.
  • Create and maintain user-friendly documentation for Office 365 applications and troubleshooting guides.

3. Configuration and Optimization:

  • Configure and optimize Office 365 apps and services to improve productivity.
  • Customize Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools to meet organizational needs.
  • Support Microsoft Teams, including configuration, troubleshooting, and integration with other Microsoft 365 services (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive).

5. Organisation & Departmental:

  • To ensure that all IT services provided within the organisation support the delivery of health care & Corporate services.
  • To raise the profile of IT Services to establish a reputation for providing an effective and responsive service.
  • To analyse reasons why current processes do not always meet the standard expected, and to propose and subsequently implement measures to rectify this.
  • Promote good practice in the use of hardware and software and IT security.
  • To ensure a quality client-focused service is delivered to all users.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
  • ITIL Foundation

Experience

  • Strong experience with Office 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience in managing user accounts, licenses, and permissions
  • Experience working with clinical and corporate systems.
  • Previous experience with Office 365 rollout, migration, and administration.
  • Proven track record of providing technical support for Office 365 or similar cloud-based services.
  • Experience with troubleshooting issues related to email, cloud storage, and collaboration tools

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of technologies such as PC peripherals, laptops, tablets
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Intune for user and device management.

Skills and Aptitudes

  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
