Job description

Operations & Maintenance Site Manager

Salary: £35,000 to £45,000

Location: Bristol

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Site Operations Manager / O&M Site Manager / Site Operations & Maintenance Manager, to manage a number of District Heating / Heat Network sites ensuring operations are running smoothly. Our client is a leading business within the district energy industry, with the opportunity for a O&M Site Manager to join their team based out of offices in Bristol.

Responsibilities:

  1. Daily management of a number of heat generation sites
  2. Some project engineering works to develop sites
  3. Work with maintenance to maintain site efficiencies
  4. Work strategically with Head Office to develop business over time
  5. Ideally experience with heat networks or transferable sectors
  6. Safe and efficient operation of the sites
  7. Setting up processes and procedures for new heat networks as they come online
  8. Build and manage client and customer relationships
  9. Operational budget responsibility and reporting against KPIs
  10. Continuous improvements
  11. Other duties as required

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Background in Heat Generation or related process sector
  2. Technical qualifications within engineering or operations management to degree level or equivalent
  3. Proven experience in the operations of large energy projects - district heating / CHP / gas boilers / energy centres, etc.
  4. Good knowledge of district heating schemes and how heat networks work
  5. Organised and self-motivated
  6. Must be willing to travel regularly and hold a valid UK driving licence
  7. NEBOSH / IOSH or similar
