Job description

Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

NVH Test Engineer - £27.21/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire - 12 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Division:
Engineering Operations

Position Description:

As an NVH Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of vehicle preparation and test within the Vehicle Semi-Anechoic Chamber test environment, acquiring test data using LMS software and validating results prior to releasing data to the requesting NVH attribute teams. The NVH Vehicle Dyno Operations have a broad scope for Dynamic and Static test activities at both vehicle and system levels.

Skills Required:
  1. Must have understanding of rig/vehicle based NVH data acquisition.
  2. Must have worked within a rig/vehicle test environment.
  3. Must have awareness of risk assessments for health and safety requirements.
Experience Required:
  1. Relevant degree or equivalent specific operational experience.
  2. Significant experience in operating 4wd chassis dynamometers.
  3. Acquisition of NVH data using Siemens LMS software.
  4. Data analysis and reporting of NVH test data.
  5. Good knowledge of vehicle components and sub systems.
  6. Proficient in noise and vibration measurement techniques.
Experience Preferred:
  1. PC literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word & Excel.
  2. Self-motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision.
  3. Natural problem-solver with structured approach to problem solving in a technical environment.
  4. Great interpersonal skills and the ability to present complex information to all levels within the business.
