The Division of Newborn Services is a neonatal Managed Clinical Service (MCS) working across three sites.
We are looking for the right person to join an already established Band 4 Nurse Associate team at Wythenshawe local neonatal unit.
This is a highly successful and dynamic service with a reputation for the delivery of high standards of compassionate clinical care, education and research. We want to continue to progress these aspects of our service and want a post holder who shares our vision and will rise positively to the challenges the future will hold.
Wythenshawe Neonatal Unit (NNU) is a Level Two Local NNU with 21 cots available comprising of 2 ICU, 4 HDU and 15 Special Care Cots, it also sits within the Greater Manchester Operational Delivery Network (ODN).
The Neonatal Unit provides care and treatment in line with national guidelines and professional standards where singleton births are anticipated after 26+6 weeks gestational age and multiple births are anticipated after 27+6 weeks gestational age providing the anticipated birth weight is above 800g.
We are looking for the right person to join an already established Band 4 Nurse Associate team, working with the neonatal nursing team across the MCS in our busy Newborn service.
You must be a team player with exemplary communication and interpersonal skills. You will be a caring, compassionate, skilled and a knowledgeable Nursing Associate, who works well in a busy and fast paced environment. You will be committed to the support and development of self and others and motivated to work collaboratively in order to achieve the highest standards of care for infants and families.
You will have experience in the delivery of the highest quality of care, understanding the essentials of effective and safe care that is delegated to you to provide. You will be able to deliver care in the Special Care areas of the neonatal unit and on the postnatal wards. In addition, you will be enabled to support the safe delivery of neonatal care in conjunction with the Registered Neonatal Nursing team in the Intensive and High Dependency areas of the neonatal unit, with comprehensive education and training.
