Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a 20 hr post for a Nursing Assistant to support the MIU team at Alnwick Infirmary. This post is for and based at Alnwick Infirmary but there may be a very odd occasion where there is a need to work on another site; therefore, flexibility is required.

Main duties of the job
  1. To support the team on the delivery of care.
  2. To support with simple dressings.
  3. Support with weekly supplies ordering.
  4. May be required to book patients onto PAS (training will be provided) in the absence of receptionist.

  1. To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care.
  2. To provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Completion of a competency-based programme or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Level 3 qualification in a healthcare related subject or a portfolio of equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Evidence of completed competencies aligned to the service area.
  • Customer Care course.
Experience and knowledge
  • Previous care experience in a health or social care setting.

Salary: £24,071 to £25,674 a year pro rata per annum.
