Job description

Nursery Room Leader

* Attractive pay rates + extensive benefits, including great training

* 4 day working week

* Bere Hill, Whitchurch RG28 7EB

We are looking for a Room Leader for our fantastic, unique nursery set in a peaceful, rural location in Whitchurch.

The Oak Tree Nursery School is housed in three purpose-built, pavilion-style buildings in keeping with its rural environment. Lots of full-length windows allow children to enjoy the setting fully, while vaulted ceilings in all the rooms and soothing, natural colours and materials create a clean, bright and airy environment for both children and staff.

We have a 9.3 out of 10 rating on Day Nurseries with most recent reviews saying things like “Our children love going to Oaktree and we've been really happy with the care they receive there. They particularly enjoy the new forest school sessions, and French lessons in the pre-school class” and “My son has been attending Oak Tree since he was around 18 months old, he's now 4 and going to school this year and honestly if I could keep him at Oak Tree for longer I would!”.

As Room Leader, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of your room, take responsibility for the care, well-being and safety of all children and staff, and be approachable for parents and colleagues. You'll also play an active role in the senior management team, help to induct, train, coach, mentor and supervise Nursery Practitioners, and ensure that high standards of care and education are maintained at all times.

So, if you're an experienced Room Leader this is a great opportunity to develop yourself professionally in an environment that nurtures staff including a thorough induction programme and ongoing training.

In return, you can expect an industry-leading salary, plus excellent benefits including:

  1. 4 day working week - Fridays off!
  2. Discounted childcare for staff children attending our nursery
  3. Company Pension
  4. Company events
  5. Discounted or free food
  6. Employee discounts
  7. Referral programme
  8. Free on-site parking
