Job description

Room Leader or Qualified Nursery Practitioner

Nurse Seekers are proud to be recruiting a passionate, experienced Room Leader or Qualified Nursery Practitioner for a fantastic nursery based near Pen Elm, Taunton. The successful candidate must have a real passion for childcare, and help ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.

Essential Criteria Needed
  1. Level 3 Childcare Qualification or equivalent national occupational standard in Early Years
  2. Willingness to undertake training relevant to the role
  3. Previous experience of working with children in EYFS including SEN
  4. Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
  5. Clear understanding of Ofsted policies and procedures
  6. Passion for delivering high quality childcare and learning
Key Responsibilities
  1. Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate with other team members, children and parents effectively
  2. Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children in line with our child protection and keeping everyone safe policies and procedures
  3. Liaise with and support parents and other family members
  4. Attend staff meetings and training sessions for continuous professional development
  5. To be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed.
  6. Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the EYFS, ensuring the environment is highly stimulating
  7. Work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery’s philosophy is fulfilled
  8. Look upon the nursery, as a “whole” where can your help be most utilised?
  9. Be constantly aware of the individual needs of all children
