Job description

Room Leader/Nursery Nurse

Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of an Ofsted rated OUTSTANDING Nursery who are looking to employ a Qualified Room Leader or Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner for their idyllic setting based near Shadwell, Leeds. For this role, you will apply your knowledge and best practice to ensure our children have the very best start in life, while utilising the Curiosity Approach as well as the EYFS framework. They are also seeking a passionate Level 2 or 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner.

Key Aspects

  1. To help lead the nursery room to ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.
  2. To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with the team in your room reflective of the EYFS.
  3. To work in partnership with parents and carers.
  4. To follow and implement all of the policies and procedures set out by the nursery.
  5. To lead, monitor and review the delivery of educational programmes across the Nursery Setting.
  6. To prepare children for the transition to their next room or school.
  7. To keep abreast with current thinking and best practice.
  8. To deputise when required.

Key Requirements:

  • Recognised Level 3, Level 6, or QTS Qualification.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS.
  • Strong communication and team working skills.
  • Ability to take responsibility for Children's Safeguarding.
  • A firm and thorough understanding of the EYFS and OFSTED outcomes, and best practice delivery.
  • A secure understanding of the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements.
  • All applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS.
