Job description

Seed Recruitment are currently seeking a qualified, passionate Nursery Practitioner for a lovely nursery.

If you are level 3 qualified or have an interest in pursuing a career in childcare, then this is the nursery for you! There are plenty of ways to progress and fantastic training and support offered.

Duties will include:
  1. Contributing to a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area, in conjunction with other staff.
  2. Supporting all staff and engaging in a good staff team.
  3. Liaising with and supporting parents and other family members.
  4. Attending out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parent's evenings, summer fayre, Christmas party, etc.
  5. Being flexible within working practices of the Nursery.
  6. Helping where needed, including undertaking certain domestic jobs within the Nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, etc.
  7. Working alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled.
  8. Recording accidents in the accident book.
  9. Preparation and completion of activities to suit the child's stage of development.
  10. Ensuring mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing.
  11. Washing and changing children as required.
  12. Providing comfort and warmth to a poorly child.
  13. Ensuring the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development.
  14. Being aware of the high profile of the Nursery and upholding its standards at all times.

Hours:

40 hours (excluding break) / 45 hours (including break)
