Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, along with excellent leadership skills. This role requires effective communication in English and the ability to manage a team while ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children. You will need to be NVQ level 3 or above.


Responsibilities

  1. Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's development and learning.
  3. Lead, motivate, and support staff to create a positive working environment.
  4. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
  5. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's reputation and foster community engagement.
  6. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and other necessary documentation.
  7. Ensure the nursery is a safe and stimulating environment for all children.
  8. Organise staff training sessions to promote professional development within the team.

Experience

  1. Proven experience in managing a nursery or similar childcare setting is essential.
  2. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  3. Experience working with children in various age groups is highly desirable.
  4. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  5. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  6. A commitment to providing high-quality childcare in a nurturing environment.
