A wonderful opportunity has arisen in our small, rural preschool. We are looking forward to meeting and welcoming a dedicated teacher into our Nursery whanau. A kaiako who has warmth, playfulness and a sense of fun at heart, a truly heart-centred teacher. Our nursery has a relaxed, natural home-like feel.

We believe in a play-based philosophy where children’s interests and play urges are followed. Our role would suit a skilled, kind and enthusiastic kaiako - a lifelong learner who has a desire to be part of an experienced and playful team. A sense of humour and great smile is a must! You would be part of an inspiring team who are respectful, kind and have a commitment to children and their whanau. We value our teachers' wellbeing and truly look after each other.

Our ideal team member would:
  1. Have experience and passion working with and alongside Tamariki
  2. Be qualified, knowledgeable and confident in using Te Whāriki to plan and assess (teachers in training welcome)
  3. Have a love of the outdoors and learning amongst nature
  4. Be fun, energetic, reflective, warm and welcoming, able to establish and maintain meaningful relationships, a great team player and communicator.

We offer Pay Parity, subsidised childcare (if needed), ongoing mentoring and coaching, paid first aid and teacher registration, paid fortnightly team hui’s, coffee machine…and more!
