Nursery Chef

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Chef to become a part of our fantastic team at Wetherby House Montessori, Kensal Village; 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a competitive salary of £22,500

You'll have the rewarding role of preparing delicious, nutritionally balanced meals for our children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals for our children.
• Cater to dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances, and special diets.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, following health and safety regulations.
• Manage food stock and ensure that all food is stored and prepared in line with best practices.
• Liaise with nursery staff and parents regarding children's dietary needs and meal preferences.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a childcare, school, or similar setting.
• Food Safety Level 3 (or equivalent) certification.
• Knowledge of child nutrition and special dietary needs.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
