Job description

PE Global are an approved supply to the NHS via the Health Trust Europe Framework. We are pleased to be working with a large NHS Trust who are looking for Nurse Practitioners to support their Primary Care services in Merseyside and the surrounding areas.
We are recruiting for experienced registered general nurses to undertake Band 7 nurse practitioner shifts across the Trust's Urgent Treatment Centres & Walk-in Centres.
The services assess and treat patients with minor illness and injuries. They are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days per week. The service is nurse-led and offers both an appointment and walk-in service.

The Role:

You will work within a team as an autonomous practitioner across the Trust's Walk-in Centre services. You will be accountable and responsible for the health care management of the client/patient group.
You will have the ability to perform holistic assessments to interpret, diagnose, and treat, concluding to discharge with an appropriate outcome or determining the most relevant pathway for the patient.
You will exercise a high degree of personal and professional autonomy and critical judgement.
You will have proven skills in x-ray and a requirement to undertake assessment and subsequent management; wound assessment and management; suturing; and the diagnosis and management of a wide range of minor injuries/ailments.
You will empower others and demonstrate an ability to make effective clinical decisions based on recent evidence.
The service operates an electronic record-keeping system. The post holder will have IT skills to enable them to use a clinical system.
