When you join us as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders - patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will:

  1. Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.
  2. Assure proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.
  3. Start intravenous lines or perform straight stick venipuncture for isotope injection.
  4. Administer radionuclide in a safe and effective manner.
  5. Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  6. Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  7. Maintain a nuclear medicine information system for all patient dosing, calibration, receiving and disposition, and all regulatory reports required by the RAM license.
  8. Under the direction of the radiologist, administer radiopharmaceuticals to detect or treat diseases using radioisotopes.
  9. Demonstrate a high level of competency and ensure team members are safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information.
  10. Be responsible for safeguarding on-site medications following Company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements and ensure employee adherence to on-site medication policies.
  11. Demonstrate and ensure team members a high level of respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on-site or on patient portals.
  12. Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  13. Demonstrate high-level respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions, including team members' interactions with one another.
  14. Demonstrate ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting, and ensure team members adherence to the same expectation.
  15. Exhibit behavior that fosters an environment that is nurturing and ensures cooperative and collaborative working relationships.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:

  1. Current ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification.
  2. State Nuclear Medicine License.
  3. Experience working in a high-volume setting.
  4. High school diploma or GED.
  5. BLS certification.
