Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Registered Healthcare professional with appropriate regulatory body
  • Knowledge of the NHS and current clinical standards within major trauma services
  • 1st Degree in health-related subject or working towards a degree

Desirable criteria

  • Training or additional qualifications in rehabilitation
  • Formal leadership and management training
  • Research training/experience
  • Master's degree in health-related subject or equivalent level of knowledge & experience
  • Teaching qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of working in a rehabilitation or related specialty setting
  • Experience of undertaking audit and research
  • Experience of working with patient groups
  • Experience of leading and delivering programmes of change
  • Evidence of supervision/mentorship of staff
  • Evidence of leadership, management and time management skills
  • Evidence of change management within a complex healthcare system

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of undertaking presentations to large groups/conferences
  • Experience as a Case Manager
  • Experience of developing protocols, policies and guidelines.

Communication and Relationship Skills

  • Excellent communications skills, written and oral

  • Able to undertake patients and non-patient manual handling manoeuvres
  • Evidence of moving and handling training
