NPI Project Engineer - CNC

Worcester UK-Based (Office-based with occasional travel)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE)

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer within a leading European Sales Engineering team, focusing on automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.

This role involves working on the latest product and process developments, benchmarking technologies, and enhancing machining automation for a variety of industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining processes (turning, milling, and part handling), automation integration, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Market & Process Analysis: Evaluate market trends and customer challenges to drive new automation solutions.
  2. Product & Technology Development: Work on integrating complementary technologies such as measurement, work holding, and feedback systems.
  3. Project Management: Oversee projects from initial concept to completion, ensuring on-time delivery of solutions.
  4. Technical Support & Training: Provide expert guidance to internal teams and European partners.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams, external stakeholders, and engineering departments to develop best-in-class solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
  1. Strong machining knowledge – including turning, milling, and part handling.
  2. Experience in process planning and machining development for automation.
  3. Programming expertise – knowledge of EIA/ISO programming and Mazatrol is beneficial.
  4. Excellent problem-solving & communication skills – ability to interact with internal teams, dealers, and customers.
  5. Engineering qualifications – HNC/D in Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience).
Additional Information:

Office-based role with occasional travel to subsidiaries and customer sites.

Open to candidates without all qualifications but with strong development potential.
