NPD TECHNOLOGIST REQUIRED FOR A FOOD MANUFACTURER IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!!

Do you have previous NPD experience within a Food Manufacturing business, and are you looking for a permanent role on day shifts?

We are proud to be working with a long-standing food manufacturer in Telford who are seeking an NPD Technologist, this will be working 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday (39.5 hours per week).

The starting salary will be just under A£31,000 per annum, which will then initially rise to just over A£34,500 per annum, before finally increase to just under A£39,500 per annum.

This would be a great fit for someone who is a 2:1 level graduate from a food science, food technology, manufacturing management or business management degree looking for their first role with a FMCG manufacturer, or someone who has some NPD work based experience gained from another food manufacturer.

This will be a 2 stage interview process, with the first stage consisting of a numeracy and literacy assessment on site in Telford, Shropshire.

What You Will Do:

1. Take full responsibility for the New Product Development (NPD) cycle, acting as the main development contact for customers.
2. Ensure milestones and key project deliverables are defined, communicated, and achieved within a cross-functional project team.
3. Maintain and update packaging and product specifications in collaboration with suppliers and customers.
4. Organise and oversee customer and supplier attended factory trials and product launches.
5. Work within a cross-functional project team, including Engineering, Operations, and Technical, to maintain project plans.
6. Communicate effectively within a mixed multi-skilled team, under pressure, to ensure project success.

What You Will Bring:

1. A 2:1 level graduate degree in food science, food technology, manufacturing management, or business management.
2. A-levels of C and above and GCSE passes of Grades C and above.
3. Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to establish plans and determine priorities.
4. Proactive attitude, not deterred by detail and confident in making decisions.
5. Excellent communication skills, capable of working within a multi-skilled team.
6. A passion for the food manufacturing industry, particularly within FMCG.

The role is based in the vibrant town of Telford, Shropshire.
