Company Overview

Mother Riley's Bakery, part of a larger UK Food Group, is a rapidly growing manufacturer of Premium Quality Bakery components and finished products, supplied into the Retail, Foodservice and Business to Business market sectors.

Having recently made significant investment in New Production capabilities and processes, we are now seeking an experienced NPD Technologist to join our team, initially on a part-time basis of c.2 days per week.

Role

The NPD Technologist role will encompass a mixture of New Product Development work and Process Improvement on existing products.

Leading the development of new products and reformulations from concept to full-scale production. Collaborate with Operations to optimise manufacturing processes, maximising yields, and minimising costs. Provide technical support to customers and internal teams while troubleshooting formulation and production challenges.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally possess a degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years NPD/Process Development experience within a food manufacturing environment.

The NPD Process Technologist job is based in Greater Manchester and is paying up to £35,000 (pro-rata) according to your experience.

The package includes 23 days holiday (pro-rata), plus bank holidays and Pension.

The working hours are 08:00am to 4:00pm.
