About the NPD Process Technologist job

The purpose of your role will be to work closely with both technical and factory floor teams and be responsible for factory trials. You will report directly to the NPD Manager and play a key role in shaping both new and existing product lines, from concept through to full-scale launch. You will be part of the company’s Product Development strategy, while driving continuous improvements across their current offerings.

Key tasks

1. Lead the development of new products and reformulations from concept to full-scale production.
2. Take ownership of rework programs, collaborating with NPD, Quality, and Technical teams to create rework recipes and prevent future issues.
3. Collaborate with Operations to optimise manufacturing processes, maximising yields, and minimising costs.
4. Provide technical support to customers and internal teams while troubleshooting formulation and production challenges.

About You

The successful candidate shall ideally possess a bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years NPD/Process Development experience within a food manufacturing environment.

The NPD Process Technologist job is based in Greater Manchester and is paying up to GBP38,000 according to your experience.

The package includes 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, Pension, Employee Assistance Programme, VDU and Glasses Vouchers, Onsite Mental Health First Aiders, Contractual Sick Pay, Engagement and Wellbeing Events.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 4:30pm and Friday 07:30am to 3:00pm.
