Job description

Are you based in the North between Manchester and Leeds and are interested in working for two luxury beauty brands? Then the Regional Retail Education & Excellence Manager may be the role for you. The successful candidate for this position will play a critical role in the onboarding and development of the Retail field team, offering hands-on training and coaching at the point of sale. You'll partner with Retail Management to drive a client-first culture and contribute to building a sustainable business. Your leadership will inspire Beauty Advisors to excel by leading through example and using a variety of training tools to empower them.

This is a field-based position that requires travel and occasional overnight stays. Your time will be split between training sessions at counters, workshops, meetings with key stakeholders, and planning bespoke training solutions tailored to local needs.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Integration

  1. Facilitate a seamless onboarding journey for new Beauty Advisors, tailoring the experience to different retailer models.
  2. Collaborate across teams to ensure new joiners are fully operational within the probationary period.
  3. Utilize a mix of Blended Learning methods - POS training, digital platforms, retail coaching, and classroom training.
  4. Act as a mentor to new joiners, offering support in the field.
Education & Retail Excellence

  1. Work closely with Retail Stakeholders to set KPIs and identify training opportunities that can drive business growth.
  2. Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions, reporting on performance and ROI.
  3. Track KPIs and conduct counter observations to identify training needs, creating tailored development plans to improve performance.
  4. Develop talent and encourage career progression through personalized coaching and development dialogues.
  5. Lead by example, promoting the brands through events, meetings, and fieldwork.
  6. Support counter managers in enhancing their leadership skills, in line with the HR/People strategy.
  7. Establish clear objectives for each store visit, focusing on retail coaching and team development.
  8. Provide real-time support and feedback to help overcome challenges faced by the team in the field.
  9. Share strategic initiatives with the team to ensure alignment with the overall business goals.
  10. Deliver training on innovations, product knowledge, services, and client experience, ensuring the team is well-versed in the latest offerings.
  11. Conduct clienteling and CRM training, specifically on the use of POS tools for building long-term customer relationships.
  12. Step in for emergency counter coverage at key locations as needed.
Additional Requirements

  1. Must be flexible with a willingness to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday events.
Required Skills & Experience

  1. Sales Experience: Strong background in retail sales, with a track record of achieving targets.
  2. Training Experience: Proven expertise in delivering training to both individuals and groups in a dynamic environment.
  3. Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Adaptability: Skilled at adjusting communication and training approaches based on team dynamics.
  5. Leadership: Experience supporting retail and counter managers in their development.
  6. Business Acumen: Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and manage multiple workstreams.
  7. Client-Centric: A strong focus on providing a superior customer experience.
  8. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with digital tools and technology to enhance training delivery.
Preferred Skills & Experience

  1. Coaching Certification: Preferred but not essential.
  2. Beauty Industry Experience: A plus, but not required.
  3. Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint.
  4. Digital Learning Tools: Familiarity with online training platforms.
  5. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and track performance metrics.
  6. NVQ level 4 qualified - desired.
