The North Edinburgh Locality Support Worker will deliver dedicated and empowering support to women in North Edinburgh, who have experienced or are at risk from domestic abuse, in accordance with SSSC Standards. This role encompasses practical and emotional support, advocacy, and collaborative working with statutory and third-sector organizations to achieve the best possible outcomes for women in our service. A trauma-informed approach is essential, ensuring that women receive comprehensive, person-centred support in a safe and supportive setting. Support is delivered through telephone support, one-to-one meetings, and attendance at joint meetings with partner agencies.
This post is open to hybrid working between office and home, if the candidate can evidence an appropriate environment for home working, ensuring confidentiality and privacy for service users making contact through telephone or online methods. Travel within Edinburgh to meet service users will be required as well.

This role is subject to satisfactory Adult and Child PVG scheme membership.

North Localities Support Worker

The role of the 24HR Refuge Support Worker is to provide a safe and supportive environment for women and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse and may have additional support needs. You will offer trauma-informed practical and emotional support, supporting women to regain their confidence, independence, and sense of empowerment as they move forward with their lives.
In this role, you will ensure the refuge remains a secure and welcoming space, where women feel safe and supported. You will carry out risk assessments and safety planning, while also assisting with housing, finances, health, and legal matters.
You will work closely with external agencies and the wider EWA team to provide a holistic and coordinated approach to support, ensuring women and children receive the most effective support and resources tailored to their needs.
The role of the EDDACS/Duty support worker is to provide a confidential, safe and supportive frontline information service to women and agencies who contact EWA across our EDDACS (Edinburgh Domestic Abuse Court Service) and duty service. Support can be accessed through the crisis phone line and/or ‘drop in’ service and delivered within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse. Where safety issues are assessed, the worker will ensure the completion of the Risk Identification checklist and an individualized support and safety plan. Where appropriate the worker will assess women, and any accompanying children who are affected by domestic abuse, for refuge accommodation. This role is based at EWA offices 4 Cheyne St Edinburgh EH4 1JB.
SWAN is an autistic-led Charity run for and by autistic women, girls and non-binary people across Scotland.
The post holder will deliver a range of neuro-affirming services and support for autistic women and non-binary people, as well as training and workshops for professionals and allies wishing to develop their knowledge and understanding of autistic people.
The postholder will have at least 2 years’ relevant experience (e.g. group facilitation, 1-2-1 support, peer support, training delivery and/or working with autistic people or other marginalised communities).
For this Lived Experience role, it is essential that the Project Worker is autistic (by formal diagnosis or self-identified). You will need to be comfortable with openly disclosing and discussing related experiences in group and open online sessions, public and professional meetings and in a training context.

Fife Women’s Aid are looking for a full-time member of staff to join our existing MARAC team, working with women experiencing domestic abuse who are at high levels of risk.
If you want to help make a difference in the lives of women, children and young people with experience of domestic abuse, have direct experience of providing one to one person-centred support, an understanding of the causes and impacts of domestic abuse along with good interpersonal skills then you may be the person we are looking for. Applicants will have at least 2 years’ experience of working in a support or advocacy role. The MARAC team is a small supportive team with a wealth of experience to share with new workers. Training will also be provided for the successful candidates.
The successful applicant(s) will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in social care or other relevant subject, or equivalent experience and willingness to work towards a qualification.
