Job description

Clinton Devon Estates is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic North Devon Wildlife Ranger to join our team at the beautiful Heanton Estate near Okehampton.

The role requires a self-motivated, proactive individual with at least 5 years of experience in deer and gamebird management, ready for a physically demanding yet rewarding position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Deer Management: Implementing effective deer management strategies, conduct regular stalking, maintaining high seats, conducting deer impact assessments, and managing the deer larder and processing facilities.
  2. Managing the Heanton Shoot: From preparing release pens to organising shoot days, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly.
  3. General Estate Duties: Year-round pest control, equipment maintenance, and wildlife surveys.

Requirements:

  1. DSC 1 & 2
  2. Shotgun and firearms certificate.
  3. Full clean UK driving licence
  4. Must be physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Excellent organisation, time management, and communication skills.
  7. Own working dogs, including deer dog.
