We are seeking to appoint an experienced Non-Executive Director (NED) to our board who will also serve on the Audit & Risk Committee (A&RC).

The ideal candidate will provide strategic guidance and oversight, the ability to absorb and scrutinise complex information and demonstrate a good understanding of governance principles.

For this role, we require a CCAB qualified accountant with senior experience in financial strategy, treasury management, audit, and risk oversight, gained within a customer focused business of similar (or larger) scale to Saxon Weald. Housing sector or other regulated sector experience is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who embodies personal integrity, understands how to enable others and excels in a collaborative team setting.

Your skills will complement and bring new perspective to our board, whose members are all committed to our social purpose and values, which guide how we work and engage with our colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.

The board meets six times a year in the early evening, (three meetings are virtual and three are in person) plus there are two in person board away days, and four early evening A&RC meetings (all virtual).
