Role Description – Non-Executive Director (NED)

Location: London (Part-Time, On-Site/Hybrid)

Whip App Limited is seeking an experienced and strategic Non-Executive Director (NED) to join the board and provide high-level guidance as the company enters its next stage of growth. As a member of the board, you will support the executive team with independent oversight, contribute to long-term strategic planning, and ensure strong governance practices are upheld. This is a key advisory role that brings valuable insight, accountability, and network influence to the company without direct involvement in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer strategic guidance and constructive challenge to the executive team and CEO
  • Participate in board meetings and contribute to major company decisions
  • Advise on business planning, financial oversight, and commercial strategy
  • Leverage your experience and network to support growth, partnerships, and fundraising efforts
  • Ensure corporate governance and regulatory compliance are met
  • Provide insight and oversight across risk, finance, and market expansion

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience within CAAS (Cards-as-a-Service) and the wider payments or fintech sector
  • Proven board or advisory experience, ideally in a scale-up or high-growth environment
  • Strong understanding of financial governance, business strategy, and risk management
  • Ability to offer independent, objective, and strategic input at a senior level
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • A robust network within financial services, technology, or investment communities
  • Prior experience as a founder, executive, or non-exec in a startup or fintech environment is highly desirable
  • MBA or relevant professional qualifications are a plus
