Job Title: Non- Destructive Testing Supervisor
Salary: £45,000- £52,000 per annum dependent upon experience

Our client is looking for a Non- Destructive Testing Supervisor to join their team in Norwich.
Established more than 40 years ago, they are a leading Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) with 6 fully equipped heavy maintenance bays across 3 hangars and experience in many aircraft types including Embraer 170/190, Boeing 737: All series/ BAe 146 & Avro RJ. They specialise in providing base maintenance MRO services as well as CNC Milling, structural and composite repairs, trim/ paint and component repairs from their fully furnished workshop facility. In addition to this they also have a Part 147 Technical Training College which delivers a range of training solutions.
The NDT Supervisor will lead a small team of 2 NDT Inspectors to provide an efficient and effective service to the department's internal and external customers. If you hold Non-Destructive Testing approvals and are looking for your next step in your career, this could be the role for you.
The position will be based in Norwich, working a 38.5 hour week, Monday- Friday. The hours of work from Mid April- Mid October are 7.30am- 2.30pm and from Mid October- Mid April are 7.30am- 4.30pm. Overtime is also available at the weekends and paid at 1.5 times.
Main Responsibilities:
- Leadership and performance management of NDT Inspectors and trainees.
- Pre-planning, researching, paperwork processing, spares/tool ordering, completing and certification of NDT related tasks.
- Monitoring quality, cost and overall performance of NDT tasks, taking appropriate action to address any non-performance.
- Ensure company procedures followed and report any issues using the company reporting system.
- Ensuring that all NDT related tasks are carried out safely and to the required Health & Safety standards.
- Timely and effective closure of audit findings.
- Ensuring NDT staff maintain a current approval by monitoring expiry dates of qualifications, recency records, eye tests and recurrent training.
- Ensuring all NDT related tooling and equipment are in calibration and maintained correctly.
- Liaising with NDT Level 3 responsible person.

About You:
- Completed a recognised aeronautical apprenticeship (Civil or military)
- Demonstrable experience in an aircraft maintenance or similar environment.
- Knowledge and experience of Eddy current, Ultrasonic, Dye Penetrant Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection and UT Phased Array.
- Multiple Non-Destructive Testing approvals.
- Familiarity of Boeing 737, BAe 146 and Embraer aircraft NDT techniques.
- Understanding of EASA/CAA, Health Safety & Environmental legislation and Employment Legislation would be desirable.
- Previous supervisory/ leadership experience in relevant environment.
