Senior Associate - Non-Contentious Construction
Leading International Law Firm, London
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Associate to join our Non-Contentious Construction team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, advising leading clients across the real estate, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

Role

As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in our construction team, handling complex and high-value projects. You will advise on procurement strategies, contract drafting and negotiation, and risk management across various construction and engineering projects, both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities
  1. Advising clients on standard form contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and bespoke construction agreements.
  2. Drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts, development agreements, and associated documentation.
  3. Supporting large-scale infrastructure and energy projects, including PPP/PFI.
  4. Advising clients on procurement strategies, regulatory matters, and risk management.
  5. Leading transactions and project workstreams while mentoring junior team members.
  6. Collaborating with colleagues across our real estate, finance, and corporate teams to provide integrated legal solutions.
  7. Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development activities.
Candidate
  1. Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 5+ years' PQE in non-contentious construction law.
  2. Strong experience with major forms of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, etc.).
  3. Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and provide commercially sound legal advice.
  4. Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills.
  5. Strong client relationship management skills and a proactive approach to business development.
  6. Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  7. Experience in infrastructure, energy, or real estate projects is advantageous.
