Job description

Non-Contentious Construction Partner
Location: Cardiff

Our client is a progressive firm who are seeking a Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer to join as a Partner. This is a unique opportunity for Senior and Managing Associates to step into a Partner-level role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Construction Matters: Oversee high-value non-contentious construction projects, drafting and negotiating complex contracts, including JCT, NEC, FIDIC, and bespoke agreements for large-scale developments.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic advice and ensuring responsiveness to client needs.
  3. Practice Development: Identify new market opportunities, expand the firm's construction services, and contribute to the strategic direction of the firm through business development and networking.
  4. Innovation and Legal Tech: Promote the use of legal technology and develop streamlined processes to enhance client service and efficiency.
  5. Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment, and contributing to knowledge sharing and professional development within the firm.


The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience in non-contentious construction gained within a reputable UK law firm.

You will have strong leadership and communication skills as well as expertise in managing complex construction matters, with a strong understanding of construction law, project development, and contract management.
