Location: Stockport

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6am

The Company:

My client, who is a leading manufacturer and distributor of retail products, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business with a people-centric culture.

Warehouse Shift Manager Requirements:

• Experience using a WMS system
• FLT License or previous experience using an FLT (Bendi/REACH preferred)
• Experienced using computers and office packages
• Experience managing teams and delivering training
• Ability to make decisions and act autonomously
• Experience with conducting return to works
• Experience managing KPIs
• Experience dealing with a high volume of SKUs
• Ability to motivate a team to achieve targets
• Ability to hold briefings
• Ability to think quickly and clearly under pressure

Nightshift Warehouse Manager Duties:

• Ensure all workload targets are met daily, in line with business expectations
• Responsible for all H&S issues within the area supervised and notify the line manager of any incidents or near misses
• Conduct RTW for staff on the shift and ensure a consistent approach to the absence policy
• Ensure hygiene standards are high when handing over the site to the day team
• Drive efficiency across the team, working with senior management on initiatives to improve performance
• Report any IT/System issues to the IT manager and Site Manager with a detailed report
• Be flexible in terms of working hours to ensure completion of all aspects of the role
• Build close working relationships with other areas of the site
• Report any truck issues immediately to the H&S Manager and ensure optimal efficiency of trucks and batteries
• Action performance management of staff not meeting required capability or conduct levels
• Plan the workload for the team to set the day team up with a clean and clear warehouse
