Night Veterinary Surgeon - Barnet

We are looking for a dedicated Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and experienced team in North London. Our client is a renowned RCVS-accredited, 24-hour small animal hospital situated in the thriving borough of Barnet, recognised as one of London's premier veterinary practices. Committed to delivering high-quality, honest, and affordable veterinary care, the hospital provides exceptional services both day and night.

The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including an MRI/CT unit, allowing them to handle a variety of complex cases in neurology, medicine, and surgery. They provide endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital x-ray, MiLab X7 ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, in-house blood testing, dental radiology, and more. With their own pet blood bank, an in-house laboratory, and additional support services, they ensure the highest standard of care.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a deep passion for emergency and critical care, with a commitment to delivering gold-standard treatment for both patients and clients. There is an opportunity to study for an ECC certificate if desired. You will become part of a highly experienced team led by established Branch Partners and a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse with 15 years of experience. The team includes certificate holders and those currently pursuing certificates. In addition, the hospital has a skilled and experienced nursing team comprising 11 RVNs, as well as a dedicated reception and night team to support cases during the night, with 9-10 Vets on daily rotation.

To be considered for this role, you must be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with confidence in working in a sole charge capacity and the ability to make sound clinical judgments. Night shift experience is desirable but not essential. This is a permanent full-time position with a shift pattern of 7 nights on followed by 14 nights off, working Monday to Sunday from 7pm to 9am. Weekends are included in the rotation, and accommodation is not provided with the role.
