Job description

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Team Leader (Nights) to lead a team and provide high quality residential and dementia care for individuals of Lancaster.

We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and trustworthy Team Leader who can positively lead a team and provide high quality care and support to adults residing in one of our brand-new services.

Salary: £32,760 per annum / £15 per hour

Hours: 12 Hour Shifts 8pm - 8am.
Rota: 2 week rolling rota
W1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday
W2: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Job Summary

  • Leading and managing a team, including leading meetings, providing positive feedback to the staff, and being a role model for the staff within the home.
  • Managing rotas to ensure these are fully staffed and there is a good skill mix.
  • To communicate effectively with the homes’ management team, making sure that all concerns are dealt with quickly and promptly.
  • To be accountable and responsible for the quality of care, effective use of all resources, and safety of our services.
  • To act as a role model for the team and be an ambassador for the organisation, leading on the effective implementation of the Vision and Values and business strategy.
  • Fundamental to this role is the ability to ensure that our homes actively promote interventions that support older adults and persons with dementia, delivering and sustaining a high standard of operational and clinical quality through evidence-based best practice.

Person Specification:
  • The successful applicant must have recent employed experience within elderly and dementia care in the UK.
  • The applicant must have previous experience of managing and leading a team, while simultaneously building a good rapport with residents and other healthcare professionals.
  • It would be beneficial if the applicant is a car driver with a full UK driving license.
  • The applicant must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • The applicant must have a minimum of one year employed experience as a Team Leader.
