Night Porter - The Tytherington Golf & Country Club

Job Type: Part Time - 24 hours per week

This position is primarily customer-focused and is to provide a welcoming, courteous, and polite reception facility to all guests.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the hotel whilst on shift overnight. Enthusiastic, positive, and motivated, you are a talented individual who takes control of things by nature. The ideal candidate will be highly reliable and self-motivated, a fast learner, adaptable, and with an exceptional desire to take care of the hotel and its people during the night.

You are passionate about working in hotels, at ease and confident working during the nighttime, have the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, with a welcoming personality, helpful and professional at all times. Responding to a wide range of priorities and promoting the hotel facilities, you are committed to ensuring the hotel is looked after overnight and all necessary tasks accomplished ready for a new day to be started by your colleagues coming in the morning.

Requirements:

• Well presented with a confident and friendly personality
• Previous experience working as a hotel night porter desirable
• Exceptional sense of responsibility towards the hotel and its people
• Highly motivated in keeping own shift productive, driven, and with initiative
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Professional manners in person and over the phone, guest and service focused
• Accurate and reliable with cash handling and financial matters
• Adept in conducting security walks and keeping the hotel generally safe at all times
• Very good grooming and presentation standards
• First Aid and SIA certificates desirable
• Calm, professional and able to work well under pressure at all times
• Well organised, self-motivated to achieve results and willing to learn
• Comfortable carrying out cleaning tasks to support the housekeeping team during the night
• Comfortable carrying out food and beverage tasks to support the restaurant team during the night
• Comfortable carrying out administrative tasks to support the reception team during the night
