Job description

A rare opportunity has arisen within a long established manufacturing company in the Medway Towns for a Night Machine Shop CNC Operative to work nights in their machine shop on a permanent basis.


The position involves:

  1. Processing mouldings within the machining department encompassing CNC turning, CNC milling, manual turning, manual milling and drilling.
  2. Processing of parts in accordance with the relevant drawings, techniques and instructions.
  3. Inspection of machine parts.
  4. First off checks of other operators work.
  5. Duties may vary and can include other roles when required.

Working Hours:

This is a 46 hour per week role, Monday-Thursday, paying £15.23 per hour, however training will initially be on days Monday-Thursday, Friday, 48 hours per week paying £13.24 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing and CNC experience, must work well under pressure and to deadlines, have excellent time keeping skills, a positive can-do attitude and great literacy and numeracy skills. Ideal candidate must also be able to work using their own initiative and prioritise tasks whilst being able to problem solve.
