Night Auditor - Ham Yard Hotel - Front of House

As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the night. Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager and Night Manager, you will balance end-of-day accounts for all departments and assist with the reception desk's operations. Your role will include overseeing all guest arrivals and departures and working closely with the front office night team to provide seamless service.

Responsibilities:

• Handle end-of-day bookkeeping, auditing, and account reconciliation.
• Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Manage check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
• Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments.
• Upsell hotel facilities and room categories to enhance guest experiences.
• Collaborate with the housekeeping department to ensure rooms are ready for new arrivals.
• Uphold and deliver consistent Firmdale standards.

What you Need:

• Previous experience as a Night Auditor, Hotel Receptionist, or Night Receptionist is essential. Familiarity with the Opera system is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, a professional telephone manner, and superb attention to detail. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to multitask are crucial.
• A warm, friendly, and confident personality with a genuine passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Demonstrates drive and determination to get things right the first time, every time.
