Main duties of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Provide advice and programmes to others, particularly to school staff, regarding the management and care of children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
- Demonstrate clinical effectiveness using evidence-based practice and manage clinical risk within defined caseload.
- Reflect on practice with peers/clinical supervisor and seek support as necessary.
- Maintain up to date and accurate case notes in line with RCSLT professional standards and local trust policies.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Recent UK/NHS post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
